Should I buy FIFA Points?
Should you buy FIFA Points?
There’s not a set answer for this question. In an attempt to help you decide whether FIFA points is something you should buy. I’ve written some questions down that you should ask yourself. FIFA points are a controversial topic for a lot of people. You just need to go on the FIFA Forums, Reddit or any other community to see the split.
FIFA 18 will be my 7th FUT start. Some years I’ve spent a little bit too much on FIFA Points, others I’ve not bought any and ended up doing just as well.
FIFA Points are the best Value for Money at the start.
This doesn’t mean FIFA points are value for money. It just means that you’ll get more for your money at the start of FUT when compared to other promotional events. Player prices are always at their highest within the first week or two. Thought don’t sell straight away when packs are being opened by everyone as prices will be lower.
If you have money saved and were going to spend it evenly across promotional events, I’d just blow it on day 1. Unless you pull a special card during promotional events, you’ll almost always get poor coin returns.
Do you have the money?
It should go without saying if you’re struggling to pay bills or can’t really afford to buy FIFA 18 let alone FIFA points, you really shouldn’t be buying them. If you’re also planning to buy something else, COD WWII for example and you know that you will not have enough money if you buy FIFA Points. You’ll need to decide which one you want most.
Are you known for raging? Or giving up on FIFA quickly?
I know a lot of people are prone to doing things such as pack suicides (I’m guilty of this) and giving up on FIFA. If you are someone that does this, I’d suggest either not buying FIFA points or buying less. 1,050 points should get you 14,000 coins or so, that’ll help to get you started.
What do you gain from spending money on FIFA Points?
My answer is that it allows me to skip the smaller trading stages that are a little more tedious. I can also make investments which will be very profitable from the start. What do you gain? Enough coins to make a good team which helps you grind the Weekend League? A couple hours or fun while you open packs? If you’re satisfied with your answer, read the final question.
Are you happy with the minimum possible returns?
Lets say each 150 point pack will average a 2,000 coin return. Spending 12,000 FIFA points will get you 80 packs. The minimum possible return will be 160,000 coins. Is it really worth the £79.99 I’d be paying? Not really. However I am ok with getting that little as it will really help boost my trading/investments. You’ll probably find that the average pack will return 3,000-4,000 coins if you were to be efficient.
