FIFA 18 Squad Battles rewards, Is it worth playing?
Single Player can be boring. Are the FIFA 18 Squad Battles Rewards worthwhile?
First of all, if you’re not already aware of what Squad Battles are watch this video. EA developers have made it know that the Squad Battles Rewards are going to be the best single-player rewards yet. Is this a big deal? Kind of. It depends on a couple of factors. Continue reading to find out if playing Squad Battles is really worth your time.
Squad Battles Ranking and Scoring System
Battles uses the same tiered ranking system as FUTChampions. Although the scoring/ranking system isn’t based on wins. Instead it’s based on the number of points that you have won from beating the CPU on certain difficulties.
The difficulties scale based on your opponents overall rating, chemistry and difficulty level. While the point rewards for Professional and above make the modes effort/reward ratio look really good. They definitely don’t look so good when you play on Semi-pro difficulty or less.
I’ve found a list of Squad Battles rewards that was taken from the Beta. So they are subject to change.
Bronze 1 reward: (750-999 points):
500 coins and 2 silver packs
Silver 1 Reward: (1500-1999 points):
500 coins and 2 Premium gold packs
Gold 1 Reward (3000-3499 points):
1x Premium Gold Players Pack (25k pack, 12 players 3 of which will be rare)
1x Jumbo Premium Gold pack
Elite 1: (4500-4999 points):
2x Mega packs
It’s probably not worth attempting to get top 100. As you’d expect, a lot of other people will be trying for it and the rewards aren’t great until you hit rank 59 or better.
While the FIFA 18 Squad Battles rewards are definitely the best available for single player, I don’t believe it’s that worthwhile. Don’t get me wrong it’ll be great for building up your club early on.
Although if you’re a consistent professional or above player, it’s definitely going to be worth trying to get elite 1. After all, it’s only going to take you at most 5 games.
However if you’re a player that plays at a Semi-pro level or worse, I’d probably stay away from this mode if you’re playing it purely for rewards. The number of games it will take to get to a half decent reward will be 10 or more.
If the cards I pack aren’t worth anything when I pull them, I’ll most likely store them in my club until they’re needed for an SBC, that way they’ll still give good value. Just don’t rely on Squad Battles as your main income source.
