Who will be the Top 5 highest rated players in FIFA 18?
The Top 5 Highest Rated players in FIFA 18, is similar to FIFA 17 but who’s missing?
Predicting rating for the upcoming FIFA will always be tricky. Every year there’s talk of ratings being lowered to make room for more special cards. While the icons were announced at FUTLive and will be the highest rated, we’re not including them in the Top 5 FIFA 18 players. Unfortunately Zlatan Ibrahimovic is missing due to injury however I’d expect him to be 89-91 rated.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo
It shouldn’t surprise you that Cristiano Ronaldo comes in at number 1. He’s the cover star and even has a special edition named after him.
Ronaldo has had a great season, Winning the La Liga while scoring 26 goals and 5 assists in 29 appearances. Winning the Champions League scoring 12 goals, 5 assists in 13 games. Ronaldo didn’t play in the 3-2 UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla. He did however score a Hattrick in the FIFA Club World Cup Final that helped Real Madrid win 4-2.
There’s many people debating whether Ronaldo should be a Striker or Left-Wing card in FIFA 18. While he normally starts on the left he often plays as a Striker.
2.) Lionel Messi
I don’t know how to feel about Messi, he had a great individual season however Barcelona weren’t successful. If Ronaldo wasn’t cover star I feel like Messi would be rated 94. In the league Messi bagged 37 goals and 9 assists in just 34 appearances.
Similar to Ronaldo, you could argue that Messi should be positioned at CAM however he starts games at RW. It doesn’t matter where he ends up due to the fluidity of Barcelona or a position change in general.
Does Neymar deserve an upgrade? Maybe-so. A stat upgrade yes, an overall rating I don’t think so. He definitely deserves to be included in this list of the Top 5 FIFA 18 Players. Neymar is not quite on the level of Messi/Ronaldo just yet and with his £200 million move to PSG may never be considered that level.
In the La Liga Neymar managed to score 13 times and get 11 assists from 30 games. He also had a decent champions league assisting 8 times and scoring 4 in only 9 games.
EA have confirmed that Neymar is getting a Ones-To-Watch card in FIFA 18. (RATING NOT FINAL)

4. Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez is the best striker in the world. There is one other striker that can challenge him and he’s next up on the list.
In the league Suarez managed to scored 29 goals and assist 13 times in 34 starts and 1 substitute appearance. That’s 1.2 goals/assists per game.
His champions league campaign left a lot to be desired but overall Suarez deserves to keep his 92 rating. It will be interesting to see how he fairs next season.
5. Robert Lewandowski
Robert Lewandowski is the only striker for me that can challenge Suarez, that is unless you class Ronaldo as a striker.
35 Goals and 5 assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances. His Champions League Campaign was just as successful tallying 8 goals, 1 assists in 9 games. While he did have an average Euro 2016, I’m led to believe that would have effected his FIFA 17 rating, not his FIFA 18 one.
Hopefully his 4* skills will be reinstated but I’m not sure it will be. I absolutely loved his FIFA 15 card.
There’s going to be many high rated cards
I genuinely can’t wait for FIFA 18 to come out. While these top 5 FIFA 18 Players may not be attainable by many, I cannot wait to trial them throughout the year.
